Federal Law Minister Farogh Naseem Friday said a new anti-corruption law was in the works to eliminate corruption from the country.
Addressing a press conference here, the minister stressed the need to end all kinds of corruption. He said the whistle-blower reporting against corruption will be rewarded with 20 per cent of the recovered amount. The government is working on the new law and it will be presented in the parliament soon, he said.
The minister said no politics should be done on the legislation against corruption and that the government needs people’s cooperation in this regard. “The recommendations will be made part of the legislation after complete consultations,” he said, adding that an unbiased commission will scrutinise any complaint received regarding corruption.
